Sugar free half sweet nonfat decafe latte with half foam.........say whaaaaaat?

I work in a coffee house franchise and one of the things I can't help but notice is the same people who come in day in day out and order the same exact thing. Is this because someone introduced them to that one drink and they don't know anything else on the menu? I'm thinking that's a likely senario, its the likely reason why I never see any new people come through the store .....because they need help ordering just a plain old coffee never mind knowing the difference between a flat white, cappiccino ,macchiato, or latte. Well , I thought I'd put my spare time to good use today and give you the insight.
What is espresso? This is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing hot water under pressure through finely ground coffee.
Espresso may be used to make many delicious hot and cold drinks or it can be a single(solo) or double(doppio) shot on its own
Using a medium size cup which may also be known as Tall or Grande' as an example I will explain the following drinks
Cappiccino: 1/3 espresso , 1/3 steam milk , and 1/3 foam cap
latte: two shots of espresso mixed with steam milk
Macchiato: 1/2 the amount of espresso mixed with steam milk
Flat White: 1 shot more of espresso mixed with steam milk
any of the above hot drinks tend to be made with a high fat milk but may be made with skim if requested, as well a torani flavour shot can be added to give the drink some sweetness , don't like sugar? can't have sugar ? you aren't out of options ....you can get sugar free shots
any coffee house should have a list of all torani syrups in house.
not keen on the idea of drinking so much caffeinne in one sitting ? ask for your drink to be decaf.
All hot drinks also have a foam cap on them or can be made without foam completely you can get whip cream instead ....its all up to you .
Enjoy the rest of your day .....grap yourself a latte
